Whisk your guests away on an
unforgettable trip to the tropics when you host your next
special event at the Myriad Botanical Gardens.
Whether you’re
planning a romantic wedding, office party or business meeting,
the Myriad Botanical Gardens’ picture-perfect setting
is sure to add excitement and beauty to your event.
The 17-acre outdoor grounds feature pristine lawns and perennial
gardens surrounding a sunken lake teeming with brightly-colored
koi. The outdoor Water Stage and eye-popping Meinders Gardens
are two of Oklahoma City’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.
In the midst of the Gardens, the Crystal Bridge Tropical
Conservatory is a glittering jewel. This seven-story tropical
paradise features hundreds of exotic blooming flowers and
soaring palms. A 35-foot, vine-covered waterfall tumbles to
a clear pool, making you feel as if you’re deep in an
exotic jungle. The tropical atmosphere adds a magical, intimate
touch to any party, reception or wedding.
Scheduling Your Event
Those interested in renting the Gardens MUST make an appointment
for a tour. Certain holidays and weekends are often booked
a year ahead, so contact us as early as possible. Office hours
are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. Call
297-3995 to schedule your tour.
Photography
A $25 per hour photography fee is charged for photography
sessions scheduled during Crystal Bridge operating hours.
Each participant must pay Crystal Bridge admission. A photography
permit must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance for
photography sessions in the Crystal Bridge. This includes
all group photos, engagement, wedding, family portraits, commercial,
staged photography, etc. Photography sessions must not interfere
with visitors viewing the plant collection and must abide
by the rules and regulations of the photography permit. Photographers
and their subjects must remain on designated walkways. Outdoor
photography does not require a fee unless it's for commercial
use.
Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory
The Crystal Bridge is available to rent from 6:30 p.m. –
10:30 p.m., after the facility closes to the general public.
Events lasting longer than the alloted time will be charged an additional hourly fee. Seating capacity in the Conservatory is 80. Event set up
is not allowed before 6:30 p.m.
- Weeknights (Sunday – Thursday) $800 ( $200 per additional hour)
- Weekends (Friday or Saturday) $1,000 ($250 per additional hour)
- Holidays or Holiday Weekends $1,200 ( $300 per additional hour)
Dean A. McGee Center
The Dean A McGee Center, located in the lower level of the
Crystal Bridge, consists of the Terrace Room and Water Plaza
Room. These rooms are available from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
(evenings available with multiple site rental). Seating capacity
for each room is 120. Seating for both rooms combined is 240.
Rental rate for both rooms is $400 minimum for first two hours, plus $200 for each additional hour.
Terrace Room
- $200 for the first two hours; $100 per additional hour
(room must be rented for a minimum of 2 hours).
Water Plaza Room
- $200 for the first two hours; $100 per additional hour
(room must be rented for a minimum of 2 hours)
The Water Stage
- Available from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Evenings available
with multiple site rental.)
- $200 for the first two hours and $100 per additional hour.
(room must be rented for a minimum of 2 hours)
Rental fees for these facilities
do not include admission to the Crystal Bridge.
Other areas located on the Outdoor Grounds
- Available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- To use the outdoor grounds for group activities, you must
get an activity permit at least 30 days prior to the event.
- $50 for the first two hours and $25 per additional hour,
plus utilities.
Rental fees for these facilities
do not include admission to the Crystal Bridge or other
indoor facilities.
Meinders Garden
Available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (evenings available with multiple site rental). $75 per hour (minimum of two hours)
Rental Deposit
To reserve a date, one-half of the total rental fee is required.
This fee is non-refundable. The balance of the rental fee
is due 1 month prior to the event date. A refundable damage
deposit is also required 30 days prior to the event. The damage
deposit for one rented site is $250 and two or more sites
is $350.
A late fee will apply to all rentals that exceed the time
specified in the rental agreement. This fee is 25% of the
total rental cost for each hour. All rates subject to change.
Catering
The Myriad Botanical Gardens has an open catering policy. If
your event requires food service, you must make your own arrangements.
A preparation kitchen is located in the Dean A. McGee Center
in the lower level of the Crystal Bridge. Use of the kitchen
is included with the rental of the Conservatory or the Dean
A. McGee Center.
Security
A security guard will be on duty during your event but will
have other responsibilities throughout the shift. You are
responsible for hiring any additional security necessary.
Insurance
Liability insurance is required for all activities admitting
the general public and other events as determined by the Director
of the Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department.
Outdoor Events and Activities
A permit and event site map must be approved at least one
month prior to events being held on the grounds. Tents anchored
by water barrels may be set up with prior approval. A percentage
of proceeds apply if admission is charged or concessions are
sold during the event.
Table and Chair Rental
Tables and chairs are available for an additional cost.
Outdoor Utility Hook Ups
Outdoor events requiring utility hook-ups are charged a flat
rate of $25 per utility station. A utility hook up station
is defined as:
- Electrical hook up to light poles on common breaker
- Multi-circuit disconnect box
- Water quick coupler or connection
- Sanitary sewer connection
- Telephone line dial tone
